Logan Banister is a classical and jazz saxophonist, composer, and educator. As a classical saxophonist, Logan has performed around the world including recitals at New York’s Steinway Hall, the World Saxophone Congress in Zagreb, Croatia, as a guest recitalist at numerous universities across the United States, and is a first-call saxophonist with Beaumont’s Symphony of Southeast Texas. As a jazz and commercial musician, Logan has performed throughout the United States and Europe with world-renowned artists including Ingrid Jensen, Sean Jones, Jocelyn Gould, and BEATBoX Saxophonist Derek Brown.

Logan’s creative interests focus on the intersections between classical and jazz saxophone performance and pedagogy. He is a sought-after guest clinician, teaching guest masterclasses at universities around the country and regularly serving as a guest director for honor groups held by TMEA and ATSSB. Logan has presented clinics and lectures at conferences held by the North American Saxophone Alliance, College Music Society, at the United States Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium, and at various state music education conferences.

Logan serves as Assistant Professor of Saxophone at Lamar University where he teaches applied saxophone and directs the Lamar Cardinal Jazz Orchestra. He holds degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder (DMA Saxophone Performance and Pedagogy), Baylor University (MM Saxophone Performance), and Oklahoma Christian University (BME). Logan is a Conn-Selmer and LefreQue Performing Artist.
